Wow, youve just been churning these out Nige. I like the look of this one.
Yep been busy lol. This is a cracking kit mate of a interesting subject
Looks like a solid kit, that Japanese camo pattern is so interesting! Nice review Nigel! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Cheers George
Uhu " Ooo hoo" - Owl
Thank you
Mmmm tempting Thanks for the review Nige!
Cheers mate. I hear they build up really nicely these Arma hobby hurricanes
Oh dear another one for the stash.
Snap lol. Thanks for stopping by.
Great kit review Nige... Love the shirt too ;P
Cheers buddy.
SV (Svenska) Swedish 😊
Thanks buddy.
Great review mate👍👍👍 Just an heads up with the exception of a few places (canopy and a couple of other places) the airframe wings and all were 99% recessed rivets👍
Cheers mate looks like they may need redoing then
Which decal option are you going with? The Libyan camo is interesting.
I not to sure but I think it may be that one I’ve done a 109 similar to that so it would go nice with it. Thanks for stopping by mate.
Also a bit of a joke that you have to make your own instrument panel..
Isn’t the instrument panel inside the cockpit dash board?
Also I know it’s a decal that goes there but this kit is from 1994 and only £25 the Hasegawa one which came out roughly the same time and has more issues it about £35-40
@@Mymodellingworld I thought the instructions tell you to cut it out of plasticard?
No the instructions in part 4 I think it is shows the instrument panel in the instrument cover which you put a decal on
I had super fit problems between the nose section and the body
That’s a shame because I can’t remember having that issue when I built mine.
@@Mymodellingworld mine had a gap of about 3mm
@@danestewart2539 ok ill keep an eye out for that mate cheers.
This is a cool kit Ive been looking to get one thanks for sharing 🙂
No worries thanks for stopping by.
CA flash back!😁 Eduard ups the price too high IMHO Jman
To be honest I don’t think it’s too bad considering the original kit is on eBay for about £100 and with this kit you get some lovely Eduard resin too but I get where your coming from mate. Thanks for stopping by.
Is this a new kit? Hope we can get them in Japan... love the kit! Cheers!
It’s a newer boxing of the older classic airframes kit that Eduard of not long released so should be available worldwide I would have thought mate. Thanks for stopping by.
Great build!!! What brand do you use for masks?
The mate they are The Crafting Well masks you can find them at www.thecraftingwell.uk/.
Cool model. 👍
Thanks for stopping by mate.
Heller should just give up
Maybe mate but they do some interesting stuff that’s not available anywhere else
1. The color codes are Humbrol. 2. The fifth color sceme is for an Indian aircraft.
Thank you.
Hi Nige. Years since I've seen a heller kit. They seem to have improved no end from when I was a kid. Great subject and think it will look the business in 48th
Cheers mate. To be honest they’ve not done anything new really they are just reboxing older kits I believe
Yep! The company has been through several acquisitions. Since 2019 that it is owned by a German company “Glow2B” they have started to become more active, although so far all they did was reboxing older kits. The best they have done is reboxing the latest F-16 of Kinetic.
Excellent job done Nigel! Nicely explained process also! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Cheers George and I really appreciate you stopping by thank you.
Have a great build. 🛩
Thanks
It is a very nice build - just out of curiosity - how long in total did it take you?
Thank you. To be honest it took me a while as I don’t get chance to build much but if I was to guess I’d say about 3-4 weeks.
It was great to hear your thoughts before the review Nigel. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Cheers George
Why must the music volume levels be so high ?
Sorry for that but I try to have them quite low really.
Superb stuff Nige! Thanks for sharing that bud, I learned quite a lot. And an excellent finish too.
Cheers mate. Just wish I could do more lol
Fantastic!
Cheers mate.
Nice job....really excellent. What did you use for a gloss coat before the pin-washes?
Thank you mate. I use Windsor and newton Galeria gloss and matt varnish. You can get it from most good art stores here in the uk and also from Amazon.
@@Mymodellingworldthanks!....do you ever have trouble with water based washes taking the varnish off or do you stick to oil based washes and weathering liquids? i appreciate your time answering questions. the next time I get to the city i will get the galeria product from the art supply store.
I tend to use oils based or enamels if I’m honest as I only use water based products though my airbrush as I can’t vent outside and only have mask for protection.
@@Mymodellingworldthe results show you have it mastered, thanks!
Thanks mate.
That's a mighty interesting armour kit, i like that it provides two options for the abrams! Nice review Nigel, thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Thank you George mate.
Good review, I am currently working on the Rye Field T-55 A, this kit is a well engineered kit. the only issue I have is the black rubbery parts. No glue of any sort works on it. So I just did not use any of the black parts. I highly recommend this kit to armor builders.
Cheers for the info mate and thanks for stopping by
Thanks
Cheers
5:13 That's a unditching log as you probably know by now. Nice review I enjoyed it and looks like a fun build except for the tracks.
Cheers for the info mate, and thanks for stopping by.
The tracks get easy to assemble once you get a rhythm, and don't get interrupted.
Nice review Nige! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Thanks mate
I always enjoy a good cave tour, especially one of a cave where clever and efficient uses of space and storage is used. Well done Nige!!!
Cheers mate yep I need to make everything is kept tidy or I can’t do anything
Was that polyamide tape I saw in one of the drawers? I just found recently that it's great for masking canopies.
I’m not sure which tape you mean mate. I use Tamiya tape for canopies and the thick black electrical tape is for help re-scribing.
Take care Nigel, look forward to your F/A 18 when it`s all done. yours Steve....
Cheers Steve.
As much as I love the SH Viggens, it's poor show that it's the same version re-boxed and decalled all the time. How about the "Attack" version and the "strike version" having some offensive weapons for instance?
Yes more option would be great. Thanks for stopping by mate
Hello fella . Great review and very nice firefly kit . I did a meng sherman jumbo recently with similar tracks, took 38 hrs for clean up and assembly ... had to walk away for 2 weeks before i could face painting the tracks , as they are a pain to paint , even with an airbrush .. Tape them to a loo roll tube to curve them to help paint between the links , both sides .
I feel you pain mate. Thanks for stopping by
Hello nice work end nice models cause two models in one box. Youre work it's beautiful. And thank you for sharing this.
Thank you mate. And thank you for stopping by.
Hi . Putting the kits scale in the title would be useful. Ty
Thank you
If you read the title closely you can see the scale.
@@a.g.6224 hi . The point really , is it won't come up if you search for 1/48 unless its in the title. Best of luck . And p.s . I'm 50 with crap vision and I'm looking at my phone so , box pic is to tiny for me to read the scale .
Stay Strong Nige.
I’m trying mate.
Absolutely PERFECT music!!!!!!!
Cheers mate
I know Steve would give up a testical for this kit hahaha
Nice unboxing Nigel of what looks like a very detailed kit thank you for bringing it to us
Cheers Greg.
That's a kit I'll be adding to my wish list. MMmm Coool
It’s a great looking kit mate.
Another good looking kit Nige! Great review, thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Cheers George
Really nice build might be next out of the stash as you’ve inspired me with this
Thanks mate. It’s a cracking kit mate you won’t be disappointed.
This is another aircaft i wanna build at some point in the future! Kit looks really good and with nice detail! Thanks for sharing that review Nigel, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Cheer’s George
Always loved the Swordfish! Thank you for showing this mate, this is actually something i may consider buying. I don´t build planes often, so having some info and insight about the good kits in advance is really helpful :)
Cheers Michael. It looks a brilliant kit so hopefully if you get one you should enjoy it.
